Applicable Design Codes and Standards

We design and engineer to the world’s most stringent codes, ensuring that your infrastructure meets both international quality benchmarks and local regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:

  • EN 14015 – Aboveground Storage Tanks
  • GB 50341 – Chinese Code for Vertical Cylindrical Steel Tanks

Design standards are selected based on:

  • Project location: The design is tailored to the local conditions, considering geological, climatic, seismic, and environmental factors to ensure structural suitability.
  • Stored medium: The design optimizes corrosion protection, sealing, and pressure-bearing based on the physical and chemical properties of stored materials, including composition, corrosion resistance, temperature, pressure, flammability, explosiveness, and volatility.
  • Technical Solutions and Customization Requirements: We develop customized storage tank design solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each project, including overall process layout, integration with supporting equipment, dimensional specifications, and functional configurations.

Design Inputs and Engineering Parameters

Structural Design and Thickness Calculation

The wall thickness of each part of the storage tank (including the tank wall, tank bottom and tank top) has been precisely calculated through detailed engineering analysis, and the corresponding design standards have been used to select the appropriate thickness.
